I have visited the Waxing Studio twice in the past 2 weeks. The first time i had a very nice and easy lip wax from Diana that barely turned red at all and i usually break out bad from the wax. The second was for a bikini wax with Aimee. I was not sure which wax to get since i was new to Austin and had not been here for this. Aimee evaluated what i had been doing and it was considered the teeny bikini. It was the least painful wax i ever had in my life! I almost did not know she had even touched me. I am not usually in pain from waxing but this was just fantastic. i could not wait to brag about the wonderful experience! I can't wait for my next service... even though i hope my hair grows out slower!
Looks like I am not the only one who loves Tiffany at the Waxing Studio. She makes getting a bikini wax fast, tolerable and as comfortable as humanly possible. I've always had a great conversation with her, so it makes me forget about the pain. And she is quick, diligent, and makes me feel at ease. I have also had a few others perform the 'playboy' wax, and while I prefer Tiffany, they also did a great job. Very clean establishment and comfortable setting. It's a bit pricey, but I have never felt like I overpaid. It's a delicate area, and a delicate subject for the timid/self conscience, so it's worth a couple extra bucks.
If I could, I would marry Tiffany Olson! She is personable, sweet, and funny. Even though I see her once a month, she makes me feel like I'm visiting a friend. She's salvaged my eyebrows from the craziness I've endured from the nail places and managed to bring an arch back! We talk about skincare and she managed to refer to me something to help my skin. Your are in hands that are not only capable, but welcoming.
I absolutely LOVE The Waxing Studio! They specialize in the 15-minute Brazilian wax, and although it can be pricey ($65 for a Brazilian), it is totally worth it! If you're getting a bikini wax of any sort done for the first time, I would recommend Tiffany because she does an awesome job of explaining everything to you, and she makes you feel comfortable by maintaining upbeat, fun conversation through the process. I also had an eyebrow wax done here and was pleased with the results. All the aestheticians are friendly and professional and do great work! The waiting area is clean and smells lovely, and the front desk girls are really friendly too. The rooms are also comfortable and clean. I definitely recommend The Waxing Studio to anyone who is looking for a great, professional wax of any kind, and who doesn't mind spending a little extra money for quality.
Tiffany Olson is the master of all brow waxers! I have unruly, uneven brows and after a quick visit to her my brows look amazing!
5 stars X 10,000 For the most thorough, quick and artistic waxing there is only one person in Austin: the Goddess of All Waxing, Diana Amaro at The Waxing Studio. How do I know? I was a spa director with a staff of 15 estheticians in Dallas. Not only did I have to review the quality of their work, but I also had to evaluate every new hire candidate. THAT IS A LOT OF EXPERIENCE! Never have I found anyone except Diana who does such a fabulous job with brows AND is a perfectionist (and fast) with a Brazilian.
I saw Aimee at the Lamar location, she was professional, through, fast and her studio room was clean and organized. I have been waxing for more than 2 years and just moved here from FL. I as looking for a place as good at the place I went to in FL and I found it here. I also had a pedicure by Ty. The pedicure chairs are great, the areas are clean and the atmosphere is calming. The staff seemed to enjoy their work and it was a pleasant experience. The pedicures seemed a bit pricey but the waxing prices are on point and well worth it. I will be going back.
This was my first wax, but it won't be my last. Kristin is excellent. She's super-professional, friendly, and efficient. It didn't hurt nearly as much as I expected, and the results have been excellent. I will definitely be back! ...
I highly recommend the Waxing Studio and Diana is THE BEST I have ever had and would recommend anyone who is nervous or even looking for a change to go see Diana. She is professional and makes you feel comfortable and never "exposed". =) Try it! You'll love it and her as much as I do!
I visit the south Lamar location and have had only good experiences. The location is clean and the staff is friendly. Diana Amaro is GREAT! I travel from the San Antonio area just for her. She is extremely friendly and professional. Diana made what could have easily been an awkward situation seem like a routine visit. I recommend Diana to anyone interested in waxing unwanted body hair. Diana you have a client for life, I will follow you wherever you go. Worth every dollar.
What Kristin does with unwanted hair is on par with what David Copperfield does with live tigers. I was extremely nervous about getting a Brazilian. And sure, it hurts. A LOT. But Kristin just keeps talk, talk, talkin' and rip, rip, rippin' and the whole thing happens so fast you don't have time to think about the fact that you are being tortured. "You'll hate me today, but you'll love me tomorrow." Rip. "Where do you work?" Rip. "Whereabouts do you live?" Rip. Rip. No time for shyness either--not even when your bum's in the air. After, she tells you to go get a bucket of beer and call it a day.

Least painful wax ever. My appointment was with Kristin, and the combination of high-quality wax and awesome technique ("it's all in the wrist") ended up meaning that I experienced virtually no pain. The Waxing Studio in Austin definitely gets my vote. The staff was warm and inviting, the products smelled divine, the environment was clean. Perfect.

This was my first time at the Waxing Studio, having been given a gift certificate there by my friends. I have to say that this was the best facial I have ever received. I had a lot of breakouts when I went, and now I can definitely see a difference. I also have to say that not only was the service great, but service from everyone I interacted with were great as well. It was definitely a great experience from beginning to end. Their prices are also very reasonable, and definitely worth it!

I was a first timer when I came to Jodi. Her studio is clean, comfortable and convienent. I actually look forward to my monthly wax now. Jodi is wonderful and I would not go anywhere else. Finally someone fixed my eyebrows. I recommend Jodi for all my sorority friends.

So my girlfriend finally convinced me to get my back waxed, and I have to admit it was a very painful, but comfortable experience. The pain was harsh, but it was over so quick I didn't have much time to think to think about it. My waxer made me feel very comfortable and I'll definately be back.

I just have to say that I have been to a lot of places for microdermabrasion and I have to say this is the best! I don't know if it is the machine they use or what, but my skin looks and feels better than ever. My whole experience was very plesant all around! I really enjoyed the atmosphere and I love the music!

I recently booked a facial at the Waxing Studio with Jodi and the experience was something I had to write about. I have been to dozens of spas in Austin & Dallas and the results were always mediocre. My facial with Jodi was truly the best I have ever had. She is extremely knowledgeable, didn't push products on me at the end of my visit and is extremely relaxing just to be around. From the moment I walked in the staff couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating and it was exactly what I have been looking for. This place is truly the best in the Austin, take this advice from someone who has been a lot of places. Can't wait for my next appointment!

My experience with the Waxing Studio was a very positive one. The entire staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They answered all my questions and addressed my concerns very professionally. They were also very helpful in scheduling appointments around my very busy schedule. They are flexible and efficient, and I am very pleased with my results. They have a customer for life!

I had an appointment with the owner of the salon and tried to explain my one past experience with waxing (as the receptionist had suggested that I do). She did not care. She didn't want to hear anything besides the sound of my credit card swipe and me walking out of the door. I asked her to do a test strip and she decided to just go ahead and start waxing my eyebrows anyways. I walked out with red, puffy skin that has still not gone away (it's 26 hours later). Ideally we would have waxed somewhere not on my face and waited a few minutes to see how my skin would react. eyebrows are uneven (something that I couldn't see with their dim lighting) and my boyfriend suggested that I go back and have them fix it.

walk-in services vs. scheduled appointments
I'd like to offer some clarification to your opinion on my concepts of customer service and how I handle walk-in clientele. Clients who book advance appointments receive the most preferential treatment at the Waxing Studio. If we have openings, we graciously accept any and all walk-in customers. You had come in on a day we had absolutely no openings for walk-in services, but the owner of the salon understood your urgency for a 'quick' brow wax, and moved a client around 10 minutes to 'fit' you into her busy schedule that day. Which is probably why you felt a bit rushed. We're sorry for that. On a personal note, if you have had problems with waxing in the past and you know that your skin is extremely sensitive, you really should look to an alternative to hair removal because waxing is probably not for you.

This was my first brazilian and I have to admit, Jodi was fast as lightning. No time to think about the intense pain. That was very good. But I still felt rushed. When everything was done, I quickly looked it over and she was practically pushing me out the door. Overall, I'd say the job was pretty good (my boyfriend noticed a few spots she missed) but I really don't like the feeling of being pushed out.

From the minute I walked in I was impressed. The music, the smells, the decor...everything was wonderful! I came in because there was an ad in my local newsletter for a free eyebrow wax I figured since it was close I would check it out. My eyebrows looked great! My waxer was warm and professional she did one of the best jobs I have ever had. I have definately found my new place to get waxed!

This place is the best. The decor is incredible and the service is even better. My waxer got right down to business. She proceeded to do my entire brazilian in 5 minutes! I'm normally a baby, but I didn't have any chance to react because by the time the pain registered, IT WAS ALREADY done! I was VERY impressed. Bikini waxes hurt, they always will, but wouldn't you rather it be intense and short than medium and take longer? I'm sure that I'll be back.

I got my first full Brazilian wax here today, and it wasn't nearly as terrifying as folks make it out to be. The procedure didn't last for more than ten minutes, and although not entirely painless, it was done as professionally as it could have been. Everything seemed clean and sanitary, and my aesthetician was very sweet and happy to answer questions. A note for the shy: It is my understanding that some places allow you private time to remove clothing, or provide coverings for the client, but here you don't really get much room to be modest. Although there are private waxing rooms, I was simply just told to strip from the waist down and hop on the table while the aesthetician was setting everything up. This probably would have been irritating if the service hadn't been so professional.

I've had brazilian waxes done by MANY people over the years, and they are either fast but sloppy OR thorough and slow. This place is the whole package: quick, painless, and definitely thorough. She also made me feel very comfortable with an obviously not your everyday situation. I recommend her to everyone! You will not be dissappointed.

I have been waxing for years and never have I had such a pleasant waxing experience as I did at the Waxing Studio. Calming atmosphere and fast! Waxing has always been a dreaded chore for me, but now I look forward to keeping it up on a routine basis! Worth the drive from Leander! I had a "playboy" in 1/2 the time I have had a traditional bikini in the past. Products used minimize redness and reduces recovery time.

The Waxing Studio is by far the best place in Austin for a Brazilian wax because they are so fast. Where else can you get a full leg, eye brow and brazilian wax done in about 45 minute.
